Day 4: To Vermont

Joepie! Vandaag gaan we naar Amy en GERALD, THE POPCORN MAN! Maar eerst de auto afhalen in Rue Stanley. We besloten via de Underground City te gaan, een enorm netwerk van meer dan 30 km gangen met zo’n 1600 winkels, 200 restaurants, hotels, bioscopen en concertzalen. We namen de ingang op Place des Arts, waar we het Musée d’Art Contemporain zagen, een museum van moderne kunsten.

Hooray! Today we go to Amy and GERALD, THE POPCORN MAN! But first obtain the car in Rue Stanley. We decided to go through the Underground City, an enormous network of more than 30 km ways with 1600 shops, 200 restaurants, hotels, cinema’s and concert rooms. We took the entrance on Place des Arts, where we saw the Musée d’Art Contemporain, a museum of modern arts.

Na een eindeloos durende wandeling door eindeloos lange ondergrondse gangen kwamen we weer boven de grond. Voor we bij de auto waren staken we nog twee parken over, Square Dorchester en Place du Canada. In de rit met de auto naar het hotel hadden we nog een laatste zicht over de stad en passeerden we nog vele gebouwen zoals Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde, Christ Church Cathedral, de McGill University en Rue Sherbrooke, waar vroeger de miljonairs van de stad woonden. Nu konden we eindelijk naar de VS. Het was acht jaar geleden dat we elkaar nog eens hadden gezien, en dat was dus een raar gevoel. Maar we waren welkom in Vermont met veel BEN & JERRY’S ICE CREAM en LUCKY CHARMS!

After an endless walk through endless long underground ways we came back above the ground. Before we were by the car we had to cross two parcs, Square Dorchester and Place du Canada. During the drive with the car back to the hotel we had a last view over the city en we passed a lot of buildings like Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde, Christ Church Cathedral, the McGill University and Rue Sherbrooke, where the miljonairs of the city had lived in the past. Now it was the moment to go to the USA. It was eight years ago that we saw each other, so it was a strange feeling. But we were welcome in Vermont and there was a lot of BEN & JERRY’S ICE CREAM and LUCKY CHARMS!
