Day 6: Ben & Jerry’s

Vandaag een leuke uitstap naar de Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory in Waterbury. We kregen eerst een korte rondleiding en konden er proeven van cinnamon (kaneel) ijs. Maar voor ons was dit niet genoeg. Elk nog een ijs met twee grote bollen. Mmm… lekker!

Today a nice trip to the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory in Waterbury. First we’ve got a short tour and there we could taste cinnamon ice cream. But that was not enough for us. We ate each another ice cream with two big scoops. Mmm… very good!

Welke smaak is de beste? / What flavor is the best?

Daarna reden we met de auto de berg op naar de Van Trapp Family Lodge, waar we in de gift shop een mooie puzzel kochten: The Music Room. We gingen ook nog kort naar de Vermont Teddy Bear Company en een glasblazerij. Nu was het weer tijd om te geocachen. Eén van de twee in Waterbury werd door Mary zelf gevonden. Voor de andere gaven we het zoeken op, want we moesten terug naar Montpelier. In de namiddag bleven Michiel en ik thuis om te puzzelen. Amy, mama en papa gingen naar Montpelier stad om de fietskunstwerken te bekijken.

Later we drove the car to the Van Trapp Family Lodge on the mountain. There we bought a nice puzzle: The Music Room. We also went to the Vermont Teddy Bear Company and to a glassblower. Now it was time to geocache. One of the two in Waterbury was found by Mary herself. The other one we gave up, because we had to go back to Montpelier. In the afternoon Michiel and I stayed home to puzzle. Amy, mum and daddy went to Montpelier city to watch the bycicle art works.
